C Litter arrived a few days early as we expected them on the 14th. I noticed Cati's temperature drop to 97.8 on Tues Morning and it was on to Stage 1 labor a few hours later. The pups arrived between 1:45 Am and 4:15 AM.
To be honest, we were hoping for a slightly larger litter as we had more than a few people interested. Cati however is not a big producer. She is the farthest thing from the classic "brood bitch" as her A litter (4 pups) and B litter (6 pups) prove. What she does produce however are very high quality pups. There is not one pup of her first 10 that I would not have in my house as a personal hunting companion. The C litter gives us the opportunity by it's small size to retain the whole litter and closely monitor the success of the breeding.
