Cati was imported from Germany at 10 weeks of age after many conversations with breeder and friend Bernd Krüger. She showed an early love of the water and has always been very birdy in the field. Her search is fast with a medium range that can get roomy in open areas. Her water search is thorough and once she crosses duck scent it is game on! Cati is also an excellent blood tracker.
Cati's temperament is high powered in the field but she switches off in the house. She is excellent with young kids, pups, and other dogs. She has been easy to train as she is a natural retriever and very cooperative. Her HZP(w/o hare track) score of 191pts(with a 12 in Duck Search) is indicative of her all around natural ability. She earned a Prize1 in VGP at 2 1/2 and has just completetd the NAKP with a Prize 1 and a perfect score of 136 points with a 4h in water which made her the highest scoring DK. She has also passed her NAVHDA Utility Test with a Prize 1.
Cati is a substantial female with excellent conformation as is evidenced by her V rating. She was the V4 female at the NADKC Annual Meeting in 2009. Judges written comments were: "Elegant female with moderate bone, top and bottom lines correct, angulation correct, very nice balance, excellent movement with great presence"
